The puzzle of the museum sphinx

The puzzle of the museum sphinx
Nael could hardly believe his luck. The municipal museum had announced an exciting competition: Anyone who would solve the puzzle of the ancient Sphinx could take part in an exclusive guided tour of the secret museum catacombs. As an avid reader of detective stories, this was just the right adventure for him.
“You absolutely need my help,” Levi announced as they met in the dusty attic, where they often solved puzzles together. 'I am familiar with tricky tasks. ' Nael nodded gratefully. Together, they studied the museum's mysterious letter, which was written in old-fashioned script.
'Follow in the footsteps of time, where knowledge piles up. What starts at the top ends in a circle at the bottom. Only those who interpret all signs will find their way to the Sphinx. ' Nael and Levi looked at each other in confusion. “It must have something to do with the library,” Nael thought aloud. 'There's definitely a lot of knowledge piling up there. '
The next day, they snuck through the extensive corridors of the museum library. Between the high shelves, they discovered strange symbols that led downwards in a spiral line. 'That's it! ' Levi whispered excitedly. “The signs are ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics!”
Nael pulled out his notepad and began eagerly copying the symbols. His enthusiasm for old writings now benefited him. In recent weeks, he had worked intensively on the history of ancient Egypt. The hieroglyphs produced an encrypted text that led them to a hidden room in the basement.
There it stood: An imposing Sphinx statue with an enigmatic smile. Another inscription was engraved on the base. “The more you take from me, the bigger I get. What am I? ' Nael and Levi pondered together. 'A hole! ' , Nael suddenly shouted. 'If you remove something from a hole, it gets bigger! '
The Sphinx began to glow softly and a hidden mechanism was activated. A secret door opened and opened the way to the museum catacombs. The two friends cheered with joy. They had done it!
“That was really clever of you,” Levi praised approvingly. 'Your fascination for ancient cultures and your love of reading have given us the decisive advantage. ' Nael was beaming with pride. He had learned that his interests and knowledge were valuable and helped him experience exciting adventures.
The exclusive guided tour through the museum's secret corridors was an unforgettable experience. The museum director showed them fascinating artifacts and told exciting stories from the past. Nael decided to study history and archaeology even more intensively. Who knows which puzzles still had to be solved in the future?
