Mysterious friendships under the roof

Mysterious friendships under the roof
Lion sat in the dusty attic and stared spellbound at his tablet. He was supposed to help clean up, but he had found a cozy corner between the old boxes. He suddenly heard a strange sound. Something was moving between the bars. “Hello?” Lion asked carefully. A face appeared — it was Toni, the new child next door, who had just moved in. “Sorry, I saw through the hatch that there was light on here,” explained Toni embarrassed.
As they talked, they discovered the treasures of the attic together. They found an old cage in a dusty corner. “Look!” Toni shouted excitedly, “There's a frog sitting in there!” In fact, a small green frog crouched in the cage. “We must free him,” Lion decided immediately. When they opened the cage, however, the frog did not jump away, but remained seated and looked at them with wide eyes.
At that moment, something soft passed by Lion's leg. A cat had snuck through the hatch and was now eyeing the frog with interest. Lion and Toni looked concerned. Would the cat hurt the frog? But to her surprise, the cat just sat next to it and began to clean itself. The frog croaked softly as if to greet the cat.
Fascinated, the two children watched how an unusual friendship developed between the animals. Even a small spider that had woven its web in a corner of the cage was tolerated by the cat and the frog. Lion and Toni spent the entire afternoon watching the three animals and making up stories about their secret animal friendship.
When it came time to leave, they decided to make the attic their secret meeting place. “You know,” said Toni as he went downstairs, “sometimes the most unusual friendships are the best.” Lion nodded. He had not only found new animal friends, but also a real friend in Toni. From that day on, they met regularly in the attic, read together or played games on the tablet, while their animal friends peacefully dozed next to them. The attic was no longer just a dusty storeroom — it had become a magical place of friendship.
